Description: Annual event celebrates over two decades of helping to make the Midwest the center of Pop Culture with a mixture of media guests, merchandise and a multitude of fans!
Springfield, MO- Visioncon, a Media Pop Culture event which has been a mainstay of the Ozarks for Twenty-One years, will be celebrating the weekend of Feb 15th – 17th at the Howard Johnson’s Hotel at 3333 S. Glenstone. Springfield, MO
Tickets are $40 for the weekend and doors open at Noon on Friday.
This year’s mix of guests & local talent will include:
Actor Aaron Douglas, Chief Galen Tyrol from the Peabody & Emmy winning series Battlestar Galactica.
Legendary Comic book artist, Allen Bellman whose artwork helped turn a little known publisher called Timely Comics into MARVEL comics, home of The Avengers & Spider-man.
Local talent Angie Starr, whose creative costumes and affinity for geek culture, have gained her a following in the Cosplay community.
Author & MSU graduate Cullen Bunn whose original comic book “The Sixth Gun” has just been optioned as a series by NBC.
Local Hollywood Screenwriter Diana Dru Botsford & filmmaker Jason Braiser, will be at Visioncon to discuss their three locally produced web series’ which have been accepted into the Los Angeles Web Series Festival.

Best Buy presents The Game Room which shall house numerous video games to suit all tastes all weekend!
The Anime Room which will play hosts to all things related to the art of Japanese Animation and its culture.
Along with Costume Contests, and incredible Collectibles & select Merchandise for fans of Sci-fi, Fantasy Popular Culture.
