Description: The idea of DAX came from a passing conversation one day. The founders, George, Launa, and Nykkoa were chatting when the idea for an anime convention in Memphis sprang forth. “Look,” proposed George, “If you can get Vic Mignogna to Memphis, we’ll make an anime convention.” Soon after, e-mails were sent and voice actors said they’d be MORE than happy to attend our convention. Keeping his end of the deal, George organized a meeting for the future board and comittee members of DAX. “Memphis has a great fandom and is an awesome place!” Launa exclaimed. “There’s no reason that Memphis shouldn’t have its OWN anime convention!” But hold on! The name for DAX didn’t just come out from nowhere! There were some names going around the table, some more….creative than others, for DAX, but at the first meeting, as we brainstormed together, the name DAX came to exist.

From all the members of DAX, we promise to give the otaku fandom of Memphis a purely otaku anime convention that we know you’ll want to come back to again and again!
